The focus of our work with the patient
The caring professions have a key role in the recovery of our patients. The personal attentiveness and friendliness of our care personnel contribute to a patient's well-being in our clinic. In order to consistently ensure this, our aim is to structure the processes on the wards so that the recovery process is supported in the most effective way possible.
Patient-orientated care includes:
Specialist-professional care ... which we achieve through the employment of specialist care personnel. With regular training activities, we ensure that the care of our patients is always based on the latest, scientifically validated state of knowledge.
The creation of an open, mutually trusting atmosphere for the patients and their nearest and dearest ...which we achieve by individually addressing their needs. In the admittance interview we ask them about their support requirements as well as the special aspects in relation to their injuries or disease. We promote contacts to friends and relatives and active engage the patients in the care and treatment process by professional guidance and advice.
A high degree of security …… is achieved by the employment of standards and guidelines as well as by the use of zone nursing. In the process a clearly defined patient group is holistically cared for by a specific carer, whereby the a carer assigned to the patient as the latter's permanent contact person.
The inclusion of our patients in decision-making processes...enables active advocacy on behalf of the patient to guarantee his dignity in life, dying and in death.
Quality testing …on the basis of certification. In addition we continuously collect information, plan our activities and implement these in patient care in a structured manner. We regularly test the efficacy of our actions and if necessary adjust them accordingly.

The extensive in-service training offer of the nursing service at BG Trauma Clinic Ludwigshafen includes among other things:
